Goods-to-Person (G2P) Racking

Goods-to-person systems invert the warehouse: instead of pickers walking aisles, AMRs bring the shelf to the station. The racking in a G2P system is a moving component — lifted, carried and docked thousands of times per day — so frame weight, base-plate geometry and joint rigidity are engineering parameters, not catalog options, and deflection limits are specified tighter than for any static shelving.

JISE manufactures pod racks and robot-compatible G2P shelving to the robot OEM's interface drawings: light-duty levels around 50 kg, reconfigurable on 50/75 mm pitch, with base geometry held to the robot's docking tolerance. Batch consistency is the hidden specification — a pod frame made in month 12 must dock identically to one made in month 1, or the fleet map drifts.

Selection guide: choose pod/G2P shelving for piece and case picking with latent-lift AMRs; choose CTU tote racking when climbing robots handle totes directly on the rack; choose robot-ready pallet racking when AGVs handle full pallets. All three are engineered under the AGV/AMR racking OEM program with interface data exchanged under NDA — the tolerance discipline is detailed in our integrator tolerance guide.

Engineering note. Load capacities, span–load curves and seismic parameters for JISE racking are calculated project-by-project by our structural engineers and issued with stamped documentation. FEA (finite element analysis) reports can be provided in the official language of your project location. Contact us with your pallet spec and bay configuration for project-specific data.
